Oreo Mug Cake

When you are craving chocolate cake but don’t want to bake, this Oreo mug cake is the answer! A delicious and decadent cake for one in a mug with tons of chocolate and Oreo cookies! You can make this cake in 5 minutes or less. Mix the cake in the mug and then microwave it. Voila! You have chocolate cake without any fuss. Great served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.


Ingredients needed to make Oreo Mug Cake:
- 6 tbsp milk (2% or whole milk)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 Oreos crushed plus extra for the topping
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

How to make Oreo mug cake:
- In a large, wide mug, (13 oz or larger) whisk together milk and oil.

- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, two crushed Oreos, sugar, baking powder and salt.

- Add flour mixture and vanilla to the mug and whisk together until batter is smooth.

- Sprinkle the extra crushed Oreo and chocolate chips over the batter.
- Place mug in the microwave and cook for 1 minute and 20 seconds. If cake still looks gooey repeat for 10 second intervals until cake is done and springs up to touch. Take care not to overcook it or it will be dry.

- Cool slightly before eating.
- Great served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- This cake is best eaten immediately while it is still warm.
