Why use an air fryer?
- Making baked potatoes in the air fryer is faster than using an oven and gives you a crispier texture. Hot air circulates around the potato, cooking it evenly without drying it out. Compared to baking them in an oven, this method saves time and energy and always delivers delicious results.
Ingredients needed to make Air Fryer Baked Potatoes:
- Medium to large russet potatoes
- Olive oil
- Kosher or Himalayan salt
- Other optional seasonings: black pepper, garlic salt or paprika
How to make Air Fryer Baked Potatoes:
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry.

- Poke holes all over each potato with a fork.

- Brush the potatoes with olive oil and then cover generously with salt. Rub the salt into the potatoes.

- Place potatoes in the air fryer basket or rack.

- Cook potatoes at 390-400 degrees for 35-40 minutes for medium potatoes, flipping them halfway through.
- Potatoes are done when the skin is crispy and a fork slides easily into the center.
