Ingredients needed to make Custard Yogurt Toast:
- 3 slices thick bread (I used Granny Bread)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- pinch of salt
- 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
- 12 fresh raspberries
- 27 dark chocolate chips

How to make Custard Yogurt Toast:
- If needed, preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees. I use a Sur la Table air fryer that I don’t need to preheat.
- Combine the beaten egg, yogurt and honey in a small bowl. Whisk everything together until smooth and fluffy.

- Press a well into the center of the bread with your fingers or the back of a spoon.

- Spoon the custard into the indented well taking care not to overfill it.

- Add the raspberries and chocolate chips to the top of the custard.

- Cook in the air fryer for 5-7 minutes or until the custard is caramelizing, the edges are browning and center is set. The toast edges will be crunchy. Air fryer times may vary so watch carefully.
- To bake in the oven, line cooking sheet with parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees for 8-12 minutes, or until edges caramelizing and center is set with toasted edges..

- Serve with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup if desired and/or dust with powdered sugar (optional).

Notes:
- The custard makes enough filling for 2 or 3 slices of bread, depending on the thickness. You may even have a little custard filling left over.
- Calories are based on 1 piece of toast. Makes 2-3 servings.
- If you have leftovers, refrigerate them and reheat in your air fryer for 1 minute.
- I would recommend only using raspberries or blueberries for the fruit. I tried strawberries and they had too much liquid, making the bottom of the bread soggy.
