Pretzel Pecan Turtles

If you love sweet and salty desserts, these Pretzel Pecan Turtles are a must-try.  Made with only three ingredients, this easy candy recipe comes together quickly.  All you need are crunchy mini pretzels, gooey caramel chocolates, and pecans.  Perfect for holiday gift-giving, or a simple treat, these homemade turtles are always a crowd pleaser.

 

Pretzel Pecan Turtles

 

Ingredients needed to make Pretzel Pecan Turtles:

  • Mini pretzels (use same amount of all ingredients)
  • Rolo candies (or other caramel chocolate candies)
  • Pecan halves

 

How to make Pretzel Pecan Turtles:

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.  Arrange pretzels in a single layer.

  • Unwrap all the candies and place one Rolo candy in the center of each mini pretzel.

  • Place the sheet of pretzels topped with Rolo candies in the oven and bake at 300 degrees for 4 minutes to soften the chocolate.  Remove from the oven.

  • Press a pecan half on top of the softened chocolate caramel candy.

  • Let the candies cool completely before removing them from the parchment paper.  Store in an airtight container.

Pretzel Pecan Turtles

 

Notes:

  • Melt a little chocolate and spoon over the top of each turtle candy.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before the chocolate sets.
  • Try white chocolate drizzle over the top of the turtle candies.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to one week at room temperature in a cool, dry place.
  • Store in an airtight container for 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator.  Let sit at room temp for a few minutes before serving.
  • Freeze in a sealed container or freezer bag for up to two months.  Thaw in the refrigerator or at room temperature before serving.
