Greek Salad Skewers
Greek salad skewers are an easy and fun way to serve Greek salad on a stick. It couldn’t be any easier to make the skewers. All you need are slices of English cucumber, red pepper, and red onion, small cubes of feta cheese, grape tomatoes and kalamata or regular olives and some cocktail skewers that are 4 to 6 inches long. Slide the veggies onto the skewers and then drizzle them with a quick and easy Greek vinaigrette and you have a delicious and healthy appetizer. These skewers are so flavorful and I love the tangy feta flavor, and salty kalamata olives, along with the garlic, lemon Greek dressing. My family loved these and it’s a great way to eat Greek salad too!
Ingredients to make Greek Salad Skewers:
- 1/3 English cucumber, cut into 10 1/2″ slices
- 1/2 small red pepper, cut into 10 bite-sized square or small rectangular pieces
- 1/2 small red onion, cut into 10 bite-sized pieces
- Feta cheese block (about 6 oz), cut into 10 1″ cubes (make sure it is very fresh, good quality feta or it will fall apart)
- 10 medium to large grape tomatoes (you could also use cherry tomatoes)
- 10 kalamata or regular olives
Ingredients for Greek vinaigrette dressing:
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 small lemon, juiced (about 1 tablespoon of juice)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

- Fine sea salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
How to make Greek Salad Skewers:
- Cut up the cucumber into 10 1/2″ round slices.
- Cut the red pepper into 10 bite-sized square or small rectangular pieces.
- Cut red onion into 10 bite-sized pieces (cut to your preferred thickness depending on how much onion you like) I cut mine and used 3-5 onion layers.
- Feta cheese block, cut into 10 1″ cubes. Cut carefully with a sharp knife so the cheese doesn’t crumble.
- Take one skewer and start threading the salad on starting with the cucumber, red pepper, red onion, feta cheese, tomatoes, and ending with the kalamata olive. Repeat with the remaining skewers.
- Plate the skewers on your serving plate.
- You can make these ahead of time and cover with plastic wrap. Drizzle the dressing over them just before serving.
Greek vinaigrette dressing:
- In a small bowl mix the minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, red wine vinegar, dried oregano and fine sea salt and fresh ground pepper by whisking the ingredients together well.
- Drizzle about 1 tablespoon of dressing over each veggie skewer when ready to serve.
- The skewers and dressing will keep for 1-2 days covered in the refrigerator but taste best fresh.
