- 1 cup fresh or frozen mango (I like to use frozen to make it more slushy)
- 1 cup cold, 100% pure mango flavored coconut water
- 1 cup coconut milk, coconut beverage or light coconut milk in a can Coconut milk is 445 calories vs coconut beverage or light coconut milk is 50 calories. Real coconut milk is more creamy and fatty. I used coconut beverage to cut calories but it's not as creamy.
- 1 fresh orange, peeled and sectioned
- 1 cup ice cubes
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into a chilled glass and add a little shredded coconut or a mango slice on top, if desired.
Notes: *Other optional additions to smoothie could be 1/2 banana, 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup if you want added sweetness, 1 tsp chia seeds or flaxseeds for fiber. *Add protein peptide or protein powder (plain or vanilla) to make it more nutritionally balanced and satisfying. *Make it green by adding a handful of spinach for an extra nutrient boost. *You can use coconut milk, coconut beverage or light coconut milk in a can. Coconut milk is more creamy but contains more calories. It is delicious but if you're counting calories you may opt for the coconut beverage.
