Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

This easy homemade hot cocoa mix comes together in minutes, uses simple ingredients and tastes better than store-bought mixes!

1 wire whisk

1 sifter
- 2 c confectioners or powdered sugar, sifted (adjust if desired to taste for sweetness)
- 1 c unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
- 2 c powdered milk
- Optional ingredients to add in to individual mugs: crushed peppermint candy, mini chocolate chips, miniature marshmallows
Sift the powdered sugar and cocoa powder into a large bowl to get all the lumps out.
Add the powdered milk and whisk all together until well-combined.
Store in Mason jar or other air tight container.
To make mug of hot cocoa add 1/3 cup of hot cocoa mix, crushed peppermint candy and mini chocolate chips (if desired), and 1 cup boiling water. Stir well until smooth and creamy. Add marshmellows and enjoy!!
NOTES: *Store hot cocoa mix for up to 6 months. *For gift-giving you can layer the hot cocoa mix with optional ingredients in a Mason jar for a pretty presentation.
