Simple French Toast

This simple french toast recipe is fluffy and delicious. It only takes a few basic ingredients and you have a delicious breakfast in minutes!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices thick sliced bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Crack the eggs into a medium size dish (large enough to dip the toast in). Whisk the eggs.
  • Add milk, vanilla and cinnamon and whisk together well.
  • Dip bread into the egg and milk mixture and soak each side.
  • Spray frying pan with cooking spray or may use butter if preferred. Heat to medium high.
  • When pan is hot place two pieces of bread into the pan. Cook until first side is browned and then flip and cook the other side. Watch carefully and take care not to overcook the toast. Repeat for other two pieces of bread.
  • Remove to a plate. You may keep warm in a 250 degree oven if desired.
  • Serve warm with desired toppings. Suggested toppings: butter, maple syrup, fresh peach syrup, fresh fruit, hazelnut spread, whipped cream, etc.
  • Serving size 2 slices.
